First, a note about my research methods…
As I talk with nonprofit CEOs (now over 400), I find patterns.
One of them rises to the top as the most interesting.
Then, I take that pattern to CEOs in a more rigorous way, exploring and testing the pattern.
Finally, I take those results back into my evidence vault. This contains the notes and transcripts from earlier interviews, plus written replies from CEOs about these weekly articles. This provides a fuller picture of the pattern.
Then I tell you what I have learned.
